This
qualification has been designed to provide learners with an understanding of
the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and
young people in school or college environments.

program will
teach you about
significant stages of development
from birth to 19 years of
age;
the actions you can take to safeguard children and young people; how to
build positive relationships and communicate effectively with children and
young people; and how you can support children and young people in their
learning activities.

To gain this
qualification the learner will need to:


Pass all 11 units with their tasks:

All units will be internally assessed using a range of
methods which could include written assignments or tasks such as designing a
leaflet or booklet, charts or diagrams or setting up an information board.


Show competence in a real work
environment through direct observation, professional discussion, or expert
witness testimony (within 12 months of enrolling in this course).

qualification is delivered via a 2-hour per week blended learning
program typically involves a combination of online learning and practical
training or placement
.

 

The online
classroom sessions will take place through a virtual learning environment
(VLE) or other online platforms
, such as video conferencing tools.

 

During sessions,
students can interact with their tutors and colleagues, engage in
discussions, and access learning materials.

 

The practical
placement component of the program provides students with an opportunity to implement
the knowledge and skills they have gained during their online learning
sessions into practical practice. This may involve working in a real-life
setting, such as a school or training center, under the guidance of a mentor
or supervisor.
